Peri Peri Chicken Wraps & Chips | Ninja Dual Air Fryer

Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer

Looking for simple meal ideas to cook in the Ninja Dual Air Fryer? Here’s one I make pretty much every week – peri peri chicken wraps.

It’s a very flexible recipe which you can adapt depending on your family’s favourite flavours, or what you have in the kitchen – use whichever wraps you have to hand (tortillas, or those ‘Greek style’ wraps they sell in most supermarkets work really well! And switch up the salad filling to whatever you have in the fridge.

Feel free to experiment with the seasoning, too. Here I use a pre-made peri-peri seasoning to flavour the chicken, however, you can make your own, or use whichever you prefer (the Nando’s supermarket range is lovely, too!).

1. Begin by prepping your ingredients, trim any excess fat from your chicken breast/s, cut your potato into chips (peeled or unpeeled, depending on what you prefer), and roughly chop the onion and peppers – as below:

2. Then, move the chicken and onions into a bowl and drizzle with a little oil and sprinkle on your seasoning, turn using a fork and ensure the chicken is fully coated in the seasoning

3. Then, transfer it all to the Ninja dual air fryer – in one basket, add the chicken and onions (it should be coated in a light layer of oil from the previous step.

And add the chips into the other basket – spray or drizzle with oil and shake.

Cook the chicken & onions for about 10 minutes on the air fry mode (default temp)

Cook the chips for 20 minutes on the air fry mode (default temp)

4. Once the chicken and onions beep after 10 mins, add in the peppers – then close the basket and cook for a further 3 mins on air fry mode

(you can give the chips basket a little shake whilst you’re at the ninja – if you want / feel it’s needed)

5. Then, after a total cooking time of about 12 minutes – check that the chicken is cooked through (it should be white throughout and juices clear) – if it needs a little longer, add a couple more minutes onto the cooking time (this will vary depending on the breast size)

6. Then, add whichever wraps you plan to use to the same basket as the chicken and peppers – close the basket and cook for 1 minute on the ‘reheat’ setting – this is just to warm up the wraps and totally optional

7. After the wraps are warmed – it’s ready! Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized slices, and add onto the wrap with the peppers, onion, lettuce (or any salad you have) and sauce of your choice – I always go with Nando’s perinaise for this (which you can buy in most supermarkets)

8. By the time you’ve made your wrap – your chips should be ready to serve, too. So put those on the plate – serve, and enjoy!
