  • I moved into my home in 2020 and there is no tumble drier, or any space for one either. We did have a washer-dryer installed, but it really wasn’t great for drying anything – so, for the longest time I would rely on traditional clothes horses and the radiators on full to dry my laundry. However, in the winter, this is of course less than ideal. Many wet items didn’t dry quickly enough so ended up needing to be re-washed, and having the heating on full is not really a very cost effect way to dry stuff. Making washing the …

  • Earlier this year I bought the Ninja woodfire outdoor oven. I had been seeing them pop up online a little, but couldn’t find many honest reviews of them as they’re quite new. My main motivations for buying it were, hopefully being able to make nice pizzas and having a way to cook outside which is quicker and easier than the BBQ (as I rarely have the time to fire it up and then clean it down after). Below I’ll share my honest first impressions of it after owning it for a few months. I hope this helps, and any questions …

  • This evening I popped over to Nandos to check out some of their new menu options. I have seen online that they have launched some new salads and bowls and wanted to see what all the hype was all about with them:  They each come with the choice of adding chicken or veggie ‘protein’ at an added cost. With added chicken, they come in at about the same price as a 1/4 chicken and 2 sides, and are cheaper than the burger or wrap options.  I have seen most of the hype on social media about the Caesar salad, but, …

  • I have been after a decent carpet cleaner for a while – we had new carpets fitted a few years back and whilst we keep on top of hoovering them and spot-stain removing where needed we haven’t ever given them a ‘deep clean’. We have a young toddler and cream rugs and carpets throughout the house – so whilst they look very clean and well looked after, I know how much spilt milk and grime must be lurking in there. So, a few months back I took the plunge to purchase the CarpetXpert deep cleaner by Shark, I bought it …

  • Tonight I decided to have a lazy evening and order some dinner in. Whilst browsing the Domino’s menu, I noticed they’ve now launched fries?! This is quite welcome as, many of the Domino’s deals are made up a pizza, sides and a drink for a discount – however, most of their classic sides (notably – their potato wedges) are not great. And beyond not great, I’d go as far as to say they’re bad. I’d rather have no sides than their potato wedges. So, I was looking forward to seeing how their fries compared – although I had very little …
