Tomato & Feta Pasta | Ninja Dual Air Fryer

by Hint of Helen
easy feta and tomato pasta air fryer

This tomato & feta sauce is so simple to make in the Ninja dual air fryer – I tend to make this as a pasta sauce and pop some garlic bread in the second basket for a delicious dinner or great lunch.

It’s based on the recipe which went viral on TikTok last year, but adapted for the ninja dual – and since trying this method it’s the only way I make it now!

1. Begin by adding some salted water to a saucepan and bringing it to the boil (this is for the pasta)

2. Then remove the ‘crisper plate’ from one of the drawers

3. And into the empty drawer add in the tomatoes, feta, oil, Italian seasoning and peeled garlic cloves – drizzle the feta in some more oil

4. Into the other drawer add garlic bread if you’re having any – cook this on sync mode – basket 1 (with the sauce) on air fry for 15 mins, and basket 2 (garlic bread) as per the packet instructions minus 20% (E.g. if the packet says 8 minutes bake for 6).

5. By this point, your water should be boiling so add in your pasta and cook as per packet instructions

6. Once the 15 minutes of cooking is up it should look like this – with a little bit of browning on the feta and the tomatoes browned and reduced

6. Then take a plastic spatula or spoon and mix the sauce ingredients – the feta will melt into a creamy sauce and you’ll want to crush the tomatoes to the sides of the drawer to let their juices out – mix to combine

7. Finally, use a slotted spoon to transfer the pasta into the sauce – stir to combine, then season with salt and pepper and sitr through the fresh basil is using and that’s all done! Serve and enjoy

A super simple and delicious tomato and feta pasta sauce with garlic bread in the ninja dual air fryer.

Prep Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 17 minutes

Ingredients

The sauce:

  • 600g cherry tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 100ml extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 200g block of feta cheese
  • 300g pasta of your choice
  • 1/2 cup pasta water

To serve:

  • Garlic bread (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper as per your taste
  • Handful fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Begin by bringing a saucepan of water to boil for your pasta
  2. Then remove the ‘crisper plate’ from drawer 1 of the Ninja dual air fryer so the drawer is completely empty and clean.
  3. Then, add in the tomatoes, feta, oil, Italian seasoning and peeled garlic cloves – drizzle the feta in some extra oil so the top isn't dry
  4. Into the other drawer (2) add your garlic bread if you’re having any – cook this on SYNC mode with the below settings:
    - basket 1 (with the sauce) on air fry for 15 mins
    - and basket 2 (garlic bread) as per the packet instructions minus 20% (e.g. if it says 8 minutes do it for 6, the ninja cooks things much quicker than the oven usually).
  5. By this point, your water should be boiling so add in your pasta and cook as per packet instructions
  6. Once the 15 minutes of cooking is up, take a plastic spatula or spoon and mix the sauce ingredients – the feta will melt into a creamy sauce and you’ll want to crush the tomatoes to the sides of the drawer to let their juices out – mix to combine
  7. Finally, use a slotted spoon to transfer the pasta into the sauce, along with a few tbsp of the pasta water to form a smooth sauce – stir to combine, season with salt and pepper and add in the basil leaves and that’s all done!
  8. Serve and enjoy
