BEST Roast Potatoes in the Ninja Dual Air Fryer

by Hint of Helen

These roast potatoes really are the best you can make – made simple and much quicker in the Ninja Dual Air fryer.

These are the kind of roast potatoes I make when it’s more of a ‘special’ dinner, or we’re having guests over. These are the one’s I’ll be making on Christmas day! They take a little longer than my super simple ‘no parboil roast potatoes‘ – as you do need to parboil these and fluff up their outside, but it’s SO worth it for the perfect roast potatoes!

2. Whilst that’s coming to temperature, peel your potatoes and cut into pieces (I usually portion one medium/large potato per person).

4. Once they’re fork tender, drain away the water using a colander and shake it to rough up the edges

5. Then, remove the crisper plate from your Ninja Dual (you need the potatoes to be in contact with your oil to get the super crispy outside)

6. Add the oil or fat of your choice into the drawer- I recommend beef dripping if you can get some (it’s everywhere at this time of year)

7. And add your potatoes on top, shake it around so they’re well coated (or if the potatoes are quite soft use tongs to do this)

8. Then cook on air fry mode (default temperature) for 2 5 minutes (or until they’re done to your liking).

Hello Helen.
Tried your recipe for our first ever trial run of our new Ninja Foodi Max Dual Zone Air Fryer.
We used goose fat instead of beef dripping (we’ll try that next time) and they came out fantastic – golden brown, crisp outside, soft and fluffy inside, they were delicious.
It was a great success, thank you so much. We’ll be sure to look up some more of your recipes.
Regards, Arthur and Jean.
