Cheesy Popcorn Chicken Gravy Bowl

by Hint of Helen
assembled gravy bowl

These gravy bowls are so good! Creamy mashed potato, melted cheese, crispy popcorn chicken, sweetcorn, peppers and spring onion – all smothered in a rich southern-style gravy. This is my homemade version of a KFC style gravy bowl and honestly it tastes unreal !

I use the 99p Battered Poppin’ Chicken from Aldi for this, which is brilliant, and the Mayflower Southern Style Gravy Mix which you can find in most supermarkets. Make extra gravy and pour it all over at the end – don’t hold back!

This recipe is part of my eat well for £4 series and if you love this you’ll want to try my salt and pepper chicken flatbread with curry sauce too.
