Sticky Honey Garlic Soy Crispy Chicken

Sticky Chilli Garlic Honey Chicken

This is one of those fakeaways that comes together so quickly, you’ll wonder why you ever ordered in. Crispy chicken strips, loads of fresh crunchy veg and a sticky honey garlic soy sauce that’s made from ingredients you’ve probably already got in the cupboard.

I use the frozen shredded chicken strips from Aldi for this – just air fry them, make your sauce, fry your veg and toss it all together. That’s genuinely it. The fresh peppers and onion give it a really nice crunch against the sticky sauce and it’s so much better than a takeaway for a fraction of the price.

Serve with egg fried rice or microwave rice if you want to keep it even quicker – either way it’s on the table in under 20 minutes. Part of my eat well for £4 series.

Notes

The frozen shredded chicken strips from Aldi are brilliant for this - they crisp up perfectly in the air fryer and save loads of time. Any supermarket shredded or sliced chicken works though. Rice wine vinegar is optional but adds a nice little tang to the sauce if you have it in.
