One of my favourite fakeaways! I use M&S chicken leg portions for this one and my go-to spicy rice recipe.

Cook Time 20 minutes
Total Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken leg portions (I get mine from M&S – £1.50 for 2!)
  • 1 block halloumi
  • Peri peri seasoning (spice aisle)
  • Peri peri sauce (I used the Aldi one in the video)
  • Drizzle of oil

To serve (optional ):

  • Garlic bread (Aldi ciabatta near the pizzas)
  • Homemade Nando’s rice (recipe linked below)
  • Broccoli

Instructions

    1. I make the rice ahead of time for this (recipe here)
    2. Coat the chicken in peri peri seasoning + oil
    3. Air fry until cooked through
    4. While that cooks, prep your sides (slice the halloumi etc.)
    5. Once cooked, brush the chicken with peri peri sauce + all the juices
    6. Add the halloumi into the same drawer/pan, drizzle with sauce and cook for ~4 mins until golden
    7. Cook your broccoli + garlic bread alongside (about 5 mins)
    8. Serve and enjoy!
